26th Birthday
Happy Birthday to me! Yes, I celebrated my birthday yesterday so now I'm the big 2-6..
Didn't have any major plans yesterday, but Kath came over on Saturday to celebrate early. We ate downtown in Little Italy and then walked around to look at the "Art Walk" they had. Stopped over at the MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) which was a lot less impressive than I expected it to be. But it was fun anyway. She had never gone to a driving range before, so I took her over and we hit a small bucket of balls too. It was funny. Then for dinner we made fondue that was soooo good. I sort of combined the standard "James & Sean Pub Fondue" with another recipe and.. oh my gosh.. it worked out perfectly. It should have been enough for at least 3, maybe 4 people, but between the two of us, there was nothing left when we were done! It's my new favorite recipe. :)
Katherine's mom baked me some cupcakes that were really good! Well, I only have a few left. They're cherry flavored [not real cherries] and taste great! And they gave me a gas card, which will come in handy for driving down to see them and Kath this summer. :) Katherine got me Tommy Boy (The "Holy Schnikes Edition") which we watched while eating fondue, and a fun bocce ball set, which I want to play sometime this summer. Marissa sent me a nice map of Paris for the honeymoon next summer, and some excellent books about LOST. And my parents sent me some boxes full of a variety of fun foods & gift cards. Yay! Of course, I got a bunch of cards, calls & on-line notes from friends & family too which was a lot of fun!
It was a good day for me and I thank everyone that made it special! I'm glad to have you as my friends & family!
