Murder Mystery

While at the library recently, Kath noticed a sign about a murder mystery dinner put on by the North Royalton players. Last weekend we had the chance to go, and it was pretty interesting.

First off, they were hosting it at Arby's which was an unlikely setting for a group of CSI detectives to convene. The tickets were $20 each so we weren't sure what to expect. We got there shortly before it started, but most people were already situated, so we had to take a seat in the back. As it turns out, it was a pretty good seat.

They had 8 suspects, including "Wednesday Adams", Bella, the "North Royalton Witch" and Jeepers the homeless grave-digger, among others. Moments after we sat down, characters came by our table to introduce themselves briefly. (The absurdity of the event was really funny and I kept laughing randomly).

After some brief introductions by the suspects, they fed us some dinner (which was pretty much anything you wanted from the Arby's menu, plus a few extras like sandwiches). Then the questioning began. the characters went around the room table-by-table for 2 minutes or so, while we asked questions to try to deduce whodunit.

Who would've suspected the homosexual Pizza Hut manager, outside/inside Arby's, with the knife/gun? We sure didn't!

It was entertaining. Now that we know a bit more about how they work, we're looking forward to going to one again sometime. Once we buy our first home, we'll host our own murder mystery party too!
